We offer the most complete line of "intelligent" rotating torque sensors in the
industry.
These rugged strain gauge devices use coin silver slip rings to transfer torque
signals from the rotary shaft to the stationary housing.
Properly applied, these durable sensors accurately measure torque in either the
clockwise or counterclockwise direction.
All units are matched for output and shunt calibration for ease of
interchangeability.
When used in combination with GSE Model 290, these sensors identify themselves
to the instrument and calibrate automatically.
The sensors are primarily used to measure the output torque of stall and clutch
type nutrunners in production fastening operations (not recommended for
mechanical impact wrenches).
Units equipped with incremental encoders are available for applications where
fasteners angle of rotation, as well as torque data are required.
These sensors are used to monitor operation of systems using the following

The 8200 Series sensors may be ordered with an enhanced brush/spring option for
pulse tool monitoring applications.
