Three-in-One Systems: Test, Analyse, Certify
The Model 9404 FastLab and Model 9504 LabMaster transient recorders are
advanced, multi-purpose systems designed to perform threaded fastener testing,
joint analysis, and tool certification. The 9404 gives you a convenient
portable system while the 9504 is a laboratory system.
Real-Time Display Save
The 9404/9504 both provide realtime display, printing, plotting, and automatic
saving of measured data. A complete system typically includes a DC electric
tool and controller with rotary torque-angle transducer, combination thread
torque/clamp load transducer, and a printer for data reports and plots. The
recorder's hard drive provides instant data storage and recall while the 3.5"
floppy drive enables data archiving.
Multiple Inputs
Four analog inputs and one encoder input allow the recorder to accept data
signals from:
-
Transducers
-
Strain gages
-
Load cells
-
Torque cells
-
Force washers
-
Bolt extensometers
-
Any ±10 V analog signal
Comprehensive Data
Model 9404/9504 systems with a torque/tension research head measure and
calculate the following:
-
Input torque
-
Clamp force
-
Thread friction torque
-
Underhead friction torque
-
Angle of fastener rotation
-
Torque tension coefficient (K from T=KDF)
Variety of Plots
A number of different plots can be generated. Rundown data and plots may be
viewed on the colour display, simultaneously displayed on a peripheral CRT,
printed/plotted on a suitable printer or graphics plotter, or saved for later
data reduction. An RS-232 serial port enables transfer of raw data, statistics
and plots to a PC.
Easy to Use
The 70/30 split screen shows menus and graphs in the left window and current
setup data in the right window. The operator can easily make changes to setups
and is provided with instant display of results and current test set and
measurement parameters. A transducer parameter and test setup library further
simplifies testing.
High Speed Sampling
The surface mount data acquisition board provides high speed sampling of 5 kHz.
A user-selectable automatic data save feature for both statistical tables and
full ASCII test files speeds technician testing time.
Statistical Control
Statistical alarms indicate when X-Bar and R are out of range. Statistical
plots of +3 sigma mean curves provide a data summary.
Options
Optional features include an auxiliary input for an ultrasonic interface, test
drive motor control outputs, and fastener test control software.
